Troublemaker gets the green light

It's been a fantastic few weeks for our projects in development..

We had the privilege to pitch a very important film called Troublemaker at the AIDC Pitch Factory.

Screen Australia just announced $2.3 million for documentary, supporting a new wave of world-class Australian projects, including Troublemaker. We are so grateful for their support.

Troublemaker is an important and timely story to tell. This feature film follows massacre survivor Wendy Scurr and South Australian writer/director Jared Nicholson (Starting from Scratch), as they slip down the rabbit hole of paranoia in a desperate search for solace and truth.

Directing alongside Jared Nicholson is Ben Lawrence, with Rebecca Barry, Scott Baskett, Madeleine Hetherton-Miau, and Chris Kamen producing and Deanne Weir executive producing.

It is financed in association with the @sharkislandinstitute, with support from the @adlfilmfest Investment Fund, the South Australian Film Corporation @safilmcorp, Screen NSW @screennsw, Weir Anderson Films, and Run Wild Production. Post, digital and visual effects are supported by the South Australian Film Corporation.

We cannot wait to bring this story to life.

Thank you to our generous supporters and sponsors.

“A massacre survivor and a filmmaker form an unlikely bond as they slip down the rabbit hole of paranoia, in a desperate search for solace and truth.”
